Excel Center - University Heights

The Excel Center in University Heights is a specialized high school designed specifically for adult learners (ages 18 and older) who have previously dropped out of the traditional school system and wish to earn their Core 40 high school diploma. Operating as part of the Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana network, the school removes common barriers to education by offering flexible scheduling—including morning, afternoon, and evening classes—as well as complimentary on-site childcare and transportation assistance. This model is built to accommodate the busy lives of working adults and parents, ensuring that a lack of resources does not prevent them from achieving their educational goals.

Beyond standard academics, the Excel Center provides a supportive environment focused on post-secondary success. Every student is paired with a life coach who helps them navigate personal challenges, balance their responsibilities, and create a career or college plan for life after graduation. By offering dual-credit college courses and industry-recognized certification programs at no cost, the University Heights location empowers students to not only finish their secondary education but to simultaneously gain the practical skills and credentials necessary for higher-paying, sustainable careers in the workforce.
