UP EXCELLENCE ACADEMY

Located at 330 N Sam Houston Parkway East in Houston, Texas, UP Excellence Academy is a newly established independent charter district serving young learners within the expansive Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands metropolitan area. Operating as a single-school district in a large city setting, the academy provides an early educational foundation spanning pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. As an authorized charter local educational agency for federal programs, the district offers an accessible, targeted elementary curriculum designed to nurture students during their most critical foundational years of learning.

In its initial 2024–2025 academic footprint, the academy fosters an intimate learning environment with a total student body of 36 children, including 20 female and 16 male students. The culturally rich student body predominantly reflects Hispanic and Black student communities, with 23 and 13 enrolled students, respectively. To support this close-knit population, UP Excellence Academy maintains a remarkably robust team of 24 full-time equivalent staff members. This includes 12 full-time equivalent teachers, 3 instructional aides, and 9 support staff members, ensuring an exceptionally low student-to-educator ratio that allows for highly individualized instruction, comprehensive support services, and personal academic growth.
