Bridges Transition

Bridges Transition, located in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle, is a specialized educational program operated by Seattle Public Schools. It is specifically designed to support young adults, typically ages 18 to 21, who have completed their high school credit requirements but continue to require specialized instruction to transition into independent living, post-secondary education, or the workforce. The program focuses on life skills, community integration, and vocational training, providing a structured environment where students can build the confidence and practical abilities necessary for adulthood.

The curriculum at Bridges Transition is highly individualized, prioritizing the unique goals outlined in each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Instruction often takes place both within the classroom and out in the community, allowing students to gain real-world experience with tasks such as public transportation, financial literacy, social interaction, and job readiness.
