IMPRINTS PROGRAM

The **Imprints Program**, located at 1315 S. Broadway in New Ulm, Minnesota, is a specialized educational initiative operating under the umbrella of the New Ulm Public School District. Designed as a therapeutic and alternative learning environment, the program serves students in grades K–12 who require more intensive social, emotional, and behavioral support than can typically be provided in a standard general education classroom. By maintaining smaller class sizes and utilizing a multidisciplinary team, the program focuses on helping students develop the necessary coping mechanisms and behavioral skills to succeed academically.

The core mission of the Imprints Program is to integrate restorative practices and trauma-informed care into the daily curriculum to foster a safe, supportive atmosphere. The staff works closely with students to address individual educational plans (IEPs) while prioritizing emotional regulation and social development. Through this targeted approach, the program aims to help students stabilize their behaviors and, whenever possible, transition back into their home school settings or continue their education within a structured environment that addresses their unique personal needs.
