TREASURE VALLEY MATH/SCIENCE

Treasure Valley Math and Science Center (TVMSC) is a specialized, half-day program located in Boise, Idaho, designed to serve high-achieving students in grades 10 through 12. Operating as a partnership between several local school districts, the center provides an advanced, fast-paced curriculum that goes well beyond the standard high school offerings. It focuses heavily on rigorous coursework in mathematics, physics, and computer science, utilizing a project-based learning model that encourages critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and professional scientific inquiry.

The program is intended for students who demonstrate a strong aptitude and passion for STEM fields and are looking for a more challenging academic environment than their base high school can provide. By splitting their day between their home high school and TVMSC, students remain connected to their extracurricular activities while gaining access to university-level laboratories, specialized faculty, and a community of like-minded peers. Ultimately, TVMSC serves as a bridge to higher education, equipping students with the technical skills and research experience necessary to succeed in competitive STEM degree programs at the collegiate level.
