School Overview
The Special Education division of the Tulare County Office of Education (TCOE), located at 6200 S. Mooney Blvd. in Visalia, serves as a vital resource hub for students with disabilities across the region. The department is dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive educational programs and support services designed to meet the unique learning needs of students from infancy through age 22. By coordinating with local school districts, TCOE ensures that students have access to individualized education programs (IEPs), specialized instruction, and therapeutic support, fostering an environment where every student can achieve their full potential.

Beyond direct classroom instruction, the division acts as a bridge between families, educators, and community agencies. They offer a wide array of specialized services, including speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, behavioral support, and professional development for staff. Through their commitment to evidence-based practices and compassionate care, the TCOE Special Education department strives to advocate for student rights, promote independence, and facilitate successful transitions into adulthood for students with diverse developmental and educational requirements.
