AMELIA HIGH SCHOOL

Amelia High School, located at 1351 Clough Pike in Batavia, Ohio, was a prominent secondary educational institution serving the West Clermont Local School District. For many years, the school functioned as a hub for academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities for students in the surrounding Clermont County community. It was well-known for its long-standing school spirit and its role in shaping the development of local youth through a comprehensive curriculum and various community-based programs.

However, it is important to note that the school is no longer in operation as a high school. In 2017, as part of a district-wide consolidation effort, Amelia High School was closed and merged with Glen Este High School to form the new West Clermont High School, which is housed in a modern, consolidated facility. Today, the former Amelia High School site has been repurposed, with portions of the property being used by the district for other administrative or educational needs, marking the end of the school’s historical era in Batavia.
