TECH VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

Tech Valley High School (TVHS), located on the SUNY Polytechnic Institute campus in Albany, New York, is a unique public high school born out of a partnership between two regional Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES). Designed to bridge the gap between traditional education and the needs of the modern workforce, the school utilizes a project-based learning (PBL) curriculum. Rather than relying on traditional lectures, students engage in hands-on, collaborative projects that simulate real-world challenges, emphasizing critical thinking, communication, and technical literacy.

Because of its strategic location and close ties to the Capital Region's tech industry, TVHS focuses heavily on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. The school environment is intentionally modeled after a professional workplace, fostering a culture of independence and professional accountability.
