LAS AMERICAS

LAS AMERICAS is a Title I public middle school that is part of the HOUSTON ISD school district, located in HOUSTON, TX with about 169 students offering grade levels from 4th Grade to 8th Grade. A Title I school provides supplemental financial assistance to school districts for children from low-income families. Its purpose is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. Because many of these students may have had interrupted schooling in their home countries, the program emphasizes linguistic development, cultural acclimation, and foundational academic skills in a highly supportive, multilingual environment.
