Spokane Juvenile Detention School

The Spokane Juvenile Detention School, located at 1208 Mallon Ave (often referred to as the Juvenile Detention Center campus), operates under the administration of the Spokane County Juvenile Court in partnership with the Spokane Public Schools district. It serves as an educational facility for youth who are currently detained within the juvenile justice system. Because the student population is transient and fluctuates based on legal proceedings, the school provides a highly individualized, competency-based curriculum designed to ensure that students do not fall behind in their academic credits while awaiting court dates or transitioning to other placements.

The instructional environment is structured to be both supportive and highly supervised, focusing on core academic requirements such as math, English, and social studies, as well as GED preparation for those who qualify.
