Washington Network for Innovative Careers Skill Center

School Overview
The Washington Network for Innovative Careers (WaNIC) is a regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) consortium based in Redmond, Washington. Serving students across seven local school districts, WaNIC functions as a bridge between traditional high school education and specialized professional training. Its primary mission is to provide high school students with access to high-quality, industry-standard technical programs that might not be available at their individual home campuses.

The institution focuses on "Skill Centers," which offer hands-on, immersive learning environments designed to prepare students for both immediate post-graduation employment and continued post-secondary education. By partnering with local industries and community colleges, WaNIC allows students to earn industry certifications, professional credits, and college credit while still in high school. Ultimately, the program serves as a vital resource for students looking to gain a competitive edge in fields such as healthcare, information technology, culinary arts, and skilled trades, ensuring they are career-ready upon graduation.
