ST PHILIP'S COLLEGE EARLY COLLEGE H S WITH SAISD

St. Philip’s College Early College High School (ECHS), operated in partnership with the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD), is a specialized academic program located on the campus of St. Philip’s College. By integrating high school coursework with college-level curriculum, the school provides students with the unique opportunity to earn a high school diploma alongside an Associate degree or up to 60 hours of transferable college credit tuition-free. This model is designed to bridge the gap between secondary and post-secondary education, offering students a head start on their professional or academic futures in a supportive, collegiate environment.

The program is specifically tailored for students who may be historically underrepresented in higher education, aiming to remove systemic barriers to college access and success. By immersing students in a real-world college setting, St. Philip’s ECHS fosters an early sense of academic identity and responsibility. Students benefit from the resources of both SAISD’s instructional support and the broader academic infrastructure of St. Philip’s College, which is a designated Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), making it a pillar of diversity and community advancement in San Antonio.
