AMTECH CAREER ACADEMY

The Amarillo Area Center for Advanced Learning (AACAL) is a specialized educational facility operated by the Amarillo Independent School District that serves as a hub for career and technical education (CTE). Unlike a traditional high school, AACAL provides high school students from across the district with access to advanced, hands-on training in specialized fields. The center focuses on bridging the gap between classroom instruction and real-world application, offering rigorous coursework in areas such as health sciences, engineering, automotive technology, information technology, and construction trades.

By utilizing industry-standard equipment and partnerships with local businesses, AACAL provides students with the opportunity to earn professional certifications, dual-credit college hours, and practical experience before they graduate.
