Wake Young Men's Leadership Academy

Wake Young Men’s Leadership Academy (WYMLA), located in downtown Raleigh, is a specialized 6th–12th grade school within the Wake County Public School System. Designed specifically for young men, the academy focuses on cultivating leadership, character, and academic excellence through a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum. By fostering a structured environment that emphasizes brotherhood and personal responsibility, the school aims to prepare students to become ethical, globally-minded leaders in their future professional and civic lives.

A defining feature of the academy is its unique partnership with Saint Augustine’s University, which allows eligible high school students to participate in a cooperative innovative high school program.
