Vashon High School, located at 3035 Cass Avenue in the Midtown area of St. Louis, Missouri, is a historic institution with a legacy deeply rooted in the African American community. Established in 1927, it was named after George L. Vashon, a noted educator and abolitionist. Throughout its history, the school has served as a cultural and academic cornerstone for St. Louis, playing a pivotal role in the lives of generations of students and maintaining a strong sense of pride and tradition within the city’s educational landscape.
