Great Lakes Cyber Academy (GLCA) is a tuition-free, online public school serving students across the state of Michigan. Operated in partnership with Pearson’s Connections Academy, the school provides a flexible, virtual learning environment for students in grades K–12. Because it operates entirely online, GLCA is designed to serve students who may thrive outside of a traditional brick-and-mortar classroom, including those who need personalized pacing, have extracurricular commitments, or require a different academic setting.

The school combines a structured curriculum with the support of Michigan-certified teachers who interact with students through virtual classrooms, email, and phone calls. Parents or guardians play an integral role as "Learning Coaches," working closely with teachers to monitor progress and support their child's daily schoolwork at home. By leveraging a digital platform, Great Lakes Cyber Academy aims to provide a comprehensive education that meets state standards while offering the convenience and individualized attention of a remote learning model.
