EARLY COLLEGE ALLIANCE

Early College Alliance is a public high school that is part of the Washtenaw ISD school district, located in YPSILANTI, MI with about 428 students offering grade levels from 9th Grade to 12th Grade. Designed as a partnership between local school districts and the university, the program allows high school students to earn both their high school diploma and significant college credit—often up to an associate degree or transferable credits—simultaneously. The environment is structured to bridge the gap between secondary and higher education, providing students with a collegiate experience while they complete their standard high school requirements.

The program is best suited for highly motivated students who are prepared to handle the rigor, independence, and expectations of university-level coursework. By integrating students into the Eastern Michigan University campus culture, the ECA provides a unique academic pathway that aims to lower the cost of higher education and accelerate degree attainment.
