JALEN ROSE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Jalen Rose Leadership Academy is a Title I public charter high school that is part of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy school district, located in Detroit, MI with about 416 students offering grade levels from 9th Grade to 12th Grade. A Title I school provides supplemental financial assistance to school districts for children from low-income families. Its purpose is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. The Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) is a tuition-free, open-enrollment public charter high school located in northwest Detroit. Founded in 2011 by former NBA star and Detroit native Jalen Rose, the academy was established with the mission of providing a world-class education that empowers students to graduate from college and thrive in their professional careers. The school places a heavy emphasis on academic excellence, character development, and personal responsibility, aiming to bridge the opportunity gap for students in the city.
