Excel Center - Kokomo

The Excel Center in Kokomo, part of the Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana network, is a unique tuition-free public high school specifically designed for adults who previously dropped out of the traditional school system. Unlike conventional high schools, the Excel Center offers a flexible, accelerated academic model that allows students to earn a state-accredited Core 40 high school diploma rather than a GED. The curriculum is structured to accommodate the complex lives of adult learners by offering year-round scheduling, self-paced courses, and flexible class times that help students balance their education with work and family responsibilities.

Beyond academics, the school distinguishes itself through a comprehensive support system that addresses the "whole person." Each student is paired with a life coach who helps them navigate personal obstacles, childcare needs, and transportation issues, ensuring that barriers to graduation are minimized.
