EASTMAN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CAMPUS

Eastman Youth Development Campus is a Title I public high school that is part of the Department of Juvenile Justice school district, located in Eastman, GA with about 37 students offering grade levels from 9th Grade to 12th Grade. A Title I school provides supplemental financial assistance to school districts for children from low-income families. Its purpose is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. It functions as a high-security institution designed to house male youth offenders who have been adjudicated by the juvenile court system. As a state-run facility, its primary mission is to provide secure confinement while focusing on the rehabilitation, behavioral modification, and eventual reintegration of youth back into their communities.

In addition to its security and housing functions, the Eastman YDC provides comprehensive programming tailored to the needs of its residents.
