GRASP ACADEMY

Grasp Academy, located at 3101 Justina Road in Jacksonville, Florida, is a specialized magnet school within the Duval County Public Schools system. It is notably distinguished as the first public school in the district—and one of the few in the nation—specifically designed to serve students with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. The school utilizes an evidence-based, multisensory instructional approach, such as the Orton-Gillingham method, to help students improve their reading, writing, and spelling proficiency in an environment tailored to their unique cognitive needs.
