Region 6 and 8-SW/WC Service Coop

Headquartered at 1420 E. College Drive in Marshall, Minnesota, the Region 6 and 8-SW/WC Service Cooperative is an active, non-charter regional educational agency dedicated to specialized instruction and career-technical preparation. Serving a broad, predominantly rural and remote region in southwestern Minnesota, this open educational district operates 26 facilities designed to deliver tailored academic pathways for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Operating within the Marshall metropolitan setting, the cooperative fulfills a vital educational role, providing specialized resources, vocational programming, and regional coordination to support diverse learners across member communities.

For the 2024–2025 school year, the cooperative serves a focused student body of 292 enrolled pupils, with a significant concentration of learners in the middle and high school grade levels. To effectively address the complex academic, behavioral, and developmental needs of its student population, the district maintains a remarkably robust workforce totaling more than 713 full-time equivalent staff members. This includes approximately 125 full-time equivalent teachers, 92 instructional aides, and nearly 496 support personnel.
