THE EXCEL CENTER

The Excel Center, located on Scott Hamilton Road in Little Rock, is a unique, tuition-free public charter high school operated by Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. Unlike traditional high schools, it is specifically designed to meet the needs of adults (ages 18 and older) who previously dropped out of the K-12 system and wish to earn their state-recognized high school diploma rather than a GED. The school recognizes the challenges faced by adult learners, offering a flexible, accelerated academic model that allows students to progress at their own pace while balancing professional and personal responsibilities.

In addition to core academic coursework, The Excel Center provides comprehensive support services to help students overcome barriers to graduation and long-term career success. These include on-site child care services, transportation assistance, and personalized coaching to help students navigate their educational journey. Furthermore, the program integrates workforce development by offering students the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications and college credits, ensuring that graduates are not only prepared for a diploma but are also equipped with the skills and credentials necessary for competitive employment or post-secondary education.
